Last post of 2010

Wow, time has sure flown by! Hard to believe its New Years Eve. The last night of 2010. Praying the new year brings blessings to all!

We had a wonderful family Christmas at my house this year. My house was literally bursting with 35 people. I was very busy in the kitchen cooking for all those family members. And I even managed to make several door prizes for the evening including this Christmas wall hanging, which my oldest daughter from Chester, NE. won! And a Snowman Table Runner for a ladies gift exchange, which my oldest sister Bonnie got!

This last week, I tried to get caught up on all the quilty things that needed to be finished before the new year. Happy Blocks due girls in Stashbuilder's group, and Dec. blocks for the three block swap groups I am in. Getting fabrics ready for another string block swap, and blocks made for a Bullseye block swap as well.

I am also awaiting January 10th. to get here. That's when I get to see Quiltville's own Bonnie Hunter in person at the Lincoln Quilters Guild. It is going to be so exciting!!

Everyone have a safe and blessed New Year!!

Its been way too long since I've posted last!

I'm back!
I apologize for not posting for so long. For about six weeks, i just didn't have the heart to want to quilt, and since this blog evolves around quilting I sure didn't have much to post anyway. Tammy's passing just was very hard on me. And I couldn't believe how it affected my sewing.
But, I had so many projects to catch up on. Blocks for swaps to make, quilts to make for Kids For Quilts, and fabric kits to cut. So I finally just made myself go into my sewing room and make a block!
Before long, the feeling that drives my quilting soul to sew had returned. Now, to attack the very long overdue stack of projects waiting in my "To Do" basket!
In the middle of October, I still had August Happies to make, several blocks due to girls in several groups, and I felt so bad that I was behind.
I am now caught up on all blocks due to block swap groups, and about 3/4 of the way through the pile of Aug. Happy Blocks.
I will try to post pics of the completed ones soon!
